Description: ACHILLE – the son of Thetis, the goddess of the sea and Peleo, a simple earthling, the king of myrmidons of Fthia, a predestined hero of the Trojan war and figure deeply romaticized by Homer in his epic Iliad, the demigod ACHILLE has never ceased to inspire a counless number of poets, writers, artists and highly successful film productions.
Innocenzo Fraccaroli, a remarkable sculptor, has chosen a unique hypostasis for the great Achilles and turned his vision into a true masterpiece which he completed in 1835. See what strength, determination and fragility you experience in a single moment of introspection!!

Description: ICARUS – son of Daedalus, the inventor of the Labyrinth of Athens for Minos. According to the legend, both were imprisoned in the prison of the city’s tallest palace from which they tried to escape by building wings made of feathers and wax. The great sculptor Innocenzo Fraccaroli, born in 1805 in Casa Fraccaroli – the location of Castrum Wine Bar & Bistro, in the distant year 1829, rendered in his masterpiece, this moment when the father sticks his son’s wings preparing their escape.
